Re: Education system quota abused
I read the response from hamisu which ends with
"My last words would be ‘What does not kill you, makes you stronger’. "
I can fully relate to the article, was on the same boat when I went to the local u to discovere that bumis with lower aggregate marks than me are in the more 'higher class' courses. I was offered social science faculty and went to discover that ppl who are in the business faculty (which I applied for) has lower aggregate than me! These letters brings back those 'unhappy' memories... I eventually quit & went to study in a private institution, I truly enjoyed my education years there where I can compete at the same level with my peers. Yes i agree, want does not kill you, makes you stronger...but why do I need to be 'made stronger' in a land I am born in? does my children & grandchildren also need to be 'taught' this lesson to make them stronger? Why? I have been asking this questions for more than 10+ year now, sad to see that its still happening today to the new generation. I am not against the quota, but pls not to the point of blatant discrimination.
